CARAVAN & ARRIVAL TIME:

We would love for everyone to join us as we caravan to the meet! We'll leave from the South Run pool parking lot at 7:25; otherwise, please arrive at Sleepy Hollow B&R pool no later than 8:00am, and be ready for warm-ups.

Volunteers - check the start times for your jobs and listen to the announcer for when and where briefings will take place.

PARKING:

Sleepy Hollow has reserved their pool parking lot for us.

WARM-UPS:

Warm-ups will be from8:25-8:45

VOLUNTEERS:

If you have a swimmer in the meet at least one parent should be volunteering. As of this writing we only need one more timer.

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR:

Swimmers:

Bring a cap, goggles, water, and a towel. Caps should be either a team cap or plain cap. Caps from club swimming or any other team are not allowed.

Girls are not allowed to wear “tie back” suits. Boys may not wear swim shirts/rash guards during their race. The use of "Elastic Therapeutic or Kinesio Tape" for any reason is prohibited.

Volunteers:Please wear white over blue (white shirt, blue shorts/skirt/pants).

CONCESSIONS:

Sleepy Hollow will have Chick-fil-A breakfast sandwiches, donuts, snacks, drinks and coffee. They accept cash and credit cards.

TEAM LUNCH:

Directly after the meet the team will be meeting at Giardino Italian Restaurant, 8944 Burke Lake Rd, Springfield, VA 22151

OTHER INFO:

Please remind your swimmers to stay in the team area and listen to their coaches for when they need to go to Clerk of Course. We want the team together and cheering!

Junior Seahawk Lollipop Race at South Run (before start of Old Keene Mill)

Calling all Junior Seahawks! At 5:55-6:00 (when all participants are present) there will be a Lollipop race across the shallow end of the pool. This is a fun way for our Junior Seahawks to participate in the meet. Coaches will be in the water to help them if needed. If your swimmer is already able to swim the 25M length of the pool, the Lollipop race is not for them.

Please declare if you Junior Seahawk will participate in the Lollipop race. Please arrive by 5:45 with cameras ready and your swimmer ready to swim across the shallow end of the pool at 5:55 after team warmups have concluded.

The South Run Seahawks host a HOME meet against the Old Keene Mill Ospreys.

Warmups begin promptly at 5:20 sharp; please have your swimmers arrive at the pool at 5:15.

Events will be free, back, breast, fly, and IM—swum in that order.

Signup Guidelines:

  • Each swimmer may swim 2 strokes. Enter your swimmer only in strokes in which they are legal. Check with the head coach if you’re unsure.
  • If your swimmer swam a stroke in the Saturday meet, they cannot swim that stroke again Monday evening.
  • DEADLINE FOR COMMITTING YOUR SWIMMER AND SELECTING EVENTS IS NOON SUNDAY, 6/15. NO ENTRIES WILL BE PERMITTED AFTER THAT TIME.
  • After you have committed your swimmer to two strokes, go back in and look at Job Signup. The Job Signup will also close at Noon on Sunday 6/15. If you have a swimmer participating in the meet and have not signed up for a job, and volunteer vacancies remain, we will reach out to you.
  • Juniors sign up on the SEPARATE event signup for the LOLLIPOP RACE, NOT HERE!!

Team Event open to all swimmers!

Cost: $23 per swimmer (includes required socks)

All swimmers must submit the REQUIRED WAIVERS.  

All swimmers 12&U must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult during the event.

Team Event: Kings Dominion (TEENS ONLY)
Kings Dominion

WHO CAN GO?
The Kings Dominion trip is open to rising 8th grade swimmers and older.  AND CHAPERONES!

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Approximately $45/teen, plus spending money.

WHEN DO YOU LEAVE?
We will meet at the guard shack at approximately 11:30 am and plan to depart at noon.

WHEN DO YOU RETURN?
We will return approximately 10:30 pm. Drivers will drop off teens at their homes.

WILL I NEED TO FILL OUT A WAIVER TO GO?
Yes.  Those who RSVP will be sent a link to complete the waiver for the event.

ARRIVAL TIME:

Swimmers: Please have your swimmer at our pool no later than 7:45 am. Warm-ups will start at 8:00 am sharp.

Coaches: Arrive by 7:20 am.

Volunteers: Check your job start time and arrive a few minutes early. First session marshals need to be there by 7:45 for warm ups to start.

PARKING: Do not park in the lot, we reserve the entire parking lot for the visiting team. If your swimmer rides their bike please remind them not to leave their bikes on any paths. Do not block neighbors’ mailboxes or driveways.

Parents of Junior Seahawks:

 If you'd like your junior seahawk to try to swim in the meet, please check with a coach first to see if they're ready to swim a full 25M event. We are happy to have them join us if a coach approves the entry!

Under 12 Developmental Relay Meet (Rally in the Alley) AWAY at Orange Hunt

This will be a fun, fast and relaxed relay meet for all swimmers 12 and under. Our pool will participate along with swimmers from Orange Hunt and other teams. This is a great opportunity for friends who swim at different pools to get together. All participating swimmers will get a Rally in the Alley ribbon.

At the conclusion of the 12&U relay events, coaches, parents and teens are invited to participate in a relay if interested!!

There will be no disqualifications but the relay teams will be timed. This is for fun and experience.

Signup Guidelines:

  • Must be 12 years old or younger as of 1 June 2025.
  • DEADLINE FOR COMMITTING YOUR SWIMMER IS NOON MONDAY, 6/23. Orange Hunt has asked that we provide the number of swimmers who will be participating on Monday 6/23 so get your commitments in by noon!
  • There are only a couple of jobs that we need volunteers for, but please take a look at the job signup. The bulk of the jobs will be filled by our teen coaches! Parents' night off! Relax and snap some pictures of your kids having a blast!
